NEW YORK CITY – Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in the heart of Manhattan on Wednesday to protest the escalating tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran, warning that continued military action could trigger a catastrophic regional war.
The protest, organized by several peace advocacy groups and anti-war coalitions, came in response to the latest Israeli airstrikes on Iran — strikes that have received full backing from U.S. President Donald Trump. Activists condemned Washington’s growing support for what they called “aggressive and destabilizing actions.”
Chanting slogans like “No war on Iran!” and “End endless wars,” protesters carried banners and signs demanding a diplomatic solution and an immediate end to military escalation in the Middle East.
“We’re here to say loud and clear: we will not be complicit in yet another unjust war,” said Amina Rahimi, a spokesperson for the coalition organizing the rally. “Trump’s full-throated support for Israel’s attacks has pushed the world closer to the brink. This is about saving lives and standing for peace.”
Many in the crowd voiced fears that U.S. involvement could reignite a broader regional conflict, drawing in multiple powers and endangering civilians across Iran, Israel, and beyond. Some compared the current trajectory to the lead-up to the Iraq War, warning against repeating what they called “a tragic history of interventionism.”
The demonstration is part of a growing wave of protests across major U.S. cities, with citizens demanding accountability and urging leaders to prioritize diplomacy over violence.
