ISLAMABAD: Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan today visited the family of journalist Sadaf Naeem and offered condolences to the bereaved family members.
Sadaf Naeem, a reporter for a private TV channel, was crushed to death under the wheels of long-march container on Sunday.
Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi today announced Rs5 million cash assistance for the family of the ceased.
Punjab CM Elahi extended his condolences to Sadaf’s family.
He said, “The Punjab government will take full care of the family.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed shock on the tragic death of the female reporter.
Sadaf Naeem was a resident of Ichra in Lahore and a mother of two. She had been covering the long march since it started from Lahore’s Liberty Chowk. Her husband, Naeem Bhatti is also a press photographer.
Sadaf joined Channel-5 in Dec 2009 and remained with this media entity till hear tragic death.
