ISLAMABAD: Former provincial minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai has announced the party’s plan to stage an indefinite sit-in at D-Chowk in Islamabad.
According to Yousafzai, the protest will persist until the government addresses their demands.
He argued that the government’s efforts to shut down the country had inadvertently underscored the success of PTI’s protest. Yousafzai claimed that reopening the blocked roads in Punjab would expose the widespread support for their movement.
The PTI leader stressed that the sit-in at D-Chowk would remain in place indefinitely, with the primary demand being the withdrawal of what the party describes as “false cases” against its founder, Imran Khan.
Meanwhile, PTI chairman Gohar Khan and Barrister Saif held a crucial meeting with Imran Khan at Adiala Jail today and discussed the future scenario about protests and sit-it.
They said that the protest would continue and further details of the meeting would be disclosed soon as talks are underway.
