The Sindh cabinet has undergone a significant reshuffle under Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, with key portfolios reassigned and new appointments announced. Late Friday, a notification from the provincial government detailed these changes, including the appointment of three advisors and ten special assistants to the CM.
Mukesh Chawla has been named the Minister for Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control, a portfolio previously managed by Sharjeel Inam Memon. Memon will now oversee Information and Transport and Mass Transit.
Former Minister for Boards and Universities Mohammad Ali Malkani has been reassigned to Fisheries and Livestock, taking over from Advisor Syed Najmi Alam. Malkani retains the Katchi Abadis portfolio.
Saeed Ghani and Jam Khan Shoro will continue as Ministers for Local Government, Housing Town Planning, and Irrigation, respectively, while Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar retains Agriculture, Supply and Prices, Sports, Youth Affairs, and Enquiries and Anti-Corruption.
Allah Dino, also known as Babal Khan Bhayo, has rejoined the cabinet as the CM’s advisor with the Forests and Wildlife portfolio. Bhayo had resigned in April following allegations of weapons smuggling from Balochistan to Jacobabad but returns after requesting a transparent inquiry.
