Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced that the provincial government is actively working to provide electricity relief to the people under the directives of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
While addressing an event in Sukkur, Shah stated that 200,000 home solar systems have already been distributed free of cost, with plans to provide an additional 500,000 solar systems in the near future. He emphasized that the Sindh government remains committed to addressing power shortages and reducing the burden of electricity costs on residents.
“The people of Sindh have consistently placed their trust in us, and we will continue to serve them with dedication,” Shah remarked. Looking ahead, he added, “We will once again seek the people’s support in 2029 with the aim of achieving success.”
Sindh Cabinet Approves Job Age Limit Extension
In a separate development, the Sindh Cabinet has approved an increase of five years in the upper age limit for government job applicants. However, this relaxation will not apply to positions in the Sindh Police or the Public Service Commission.
According to the Sindh Chief Minister’s spokesperson, the cabinet meeting, chaired by Murad Ali Shah, was attended by provincial ministers, advisors, special assistants, and senior officials. The session covered various key issues, resulting in significant decisions aimed at benefiting the public.
The Sindh government’s latest initiatives reflect its focus on addressing pressing concerns, from electricity shortages to employment opportunities, as part of its broader development agenda.
