Tribal Clash
Former Balochistan governor Akbar Bugti’s nephew, Fahad Bugti, was among five individuals killed during a violent clash between two rival Bugti tribal groups in Karachi’s DHA VI Nishat Commercial area on Thursday night, according to police reports.
The deadly altercation erupted when the two groups, who had a longstanding enmity, opened fire on each other over an ongoing dispute.
The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of Fahad Bugti, Nasibullah Bugti, Mir Mehsam Bugti, Mir Eesa Bugti, and Mir Ali Bugti, all members of the Bugti tribe.
Two other individuals, Mir Haider Bugti and Qaim Ali Bugti, sustained injuries during the confrontation and were promptly transported to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.
Additional Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho stated, “It appears that there was a longstanding enmity between the two groups,” highlighting the deep-rooted nature of the conflict.
Upon receiving news of the incident, a large contingent of police personnel swiftly arrived at the scene, cordoning off the area to prevent further violence and secure the location.
The police have initiated an investigation to uncover the details surrounding the clash. Investigators are diligently collecting initial evidence to determine the causes and circumstances leading to the deadly exchange of gunfire.

DIG South Asad Raza confirmed, “The bodies of all the deceased have been transferred to Jinnah Hospital,” ensuring that the deceased are given due respect and their families are informed.
