Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a stark challenge to the United Nations Security Council, condemning its inaction in response to the ongoing violence in Gaza.
“UN Security Council, what are you waiting for to stop the genocide in Gaza, to say ‘enough’ to this cruelty, this barbarity?” Erdogan questioned.
He further emphasized the far-reaching consequences of the crisis, stating, “Not only children, but the UN system itself is dying in Gaza. The truth, and the values that the West claims to defend, are also perishing.”
Erdogan then sharply criticized those responsible for fueling regional instability.
“What are you waiting for to stop this chain of massacres that is dragging the entire region into war for the sake of political ambition?” he asked.
Drawing a historical parallel, Erdogan added, “Just as Hitler was stopped by the alliance of humanity 70 years ago, Netanyahu and his murderous network must be stopped by a similar alliance of humanity.”
