The United Nations has organised an exhibition of the devastation of floods in Pakistan and people badly affected by this natural disaster. The exhibition was arranged at the UN’s head-office to muster international community’s support to help the floods victims and ensure their rehabilitation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also participated in the expo and he appreciated the United Nations efforts for the support of flood-hit millions of Pakistanis.

PM Shehbaz said, “These photos tell a tale of misery, pain & anguish that 33 million people of Pakistan are experiencing for no fault of theirs. Our story needs a sympathetic hearing.”
After the inauguration of exhibition, PM Shehbaz told media that he would urge the international community to come forward and help Pakistan deal with this climatic disaster.

He said, “The devastation is so huge: more than a million houses destroyed, four million acres of crops lost, 900,000 live-stocks washed away and thousands of kilometres of road destroyed.”
He said the floods had caused a loss of at least 30 billion dollars to the national economy. He gladly stated that the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has become Pakistan’s voice. “I thanked him for raising the voice of the suffering of Pakistan’s flood-hit people on the international stage”, he said.
PM Shehbaz also thanked President Tayyip Erdogan of Turkiye and President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran for supporting the flood victims of Pakistan.
