The United States has categorically denied any role in recent Israeli airstrikes on Iranian territory.
White House spokesperson Alex Pfeiffer addressed the allegations on the social media platform X, labeling reports of American involvement as “fake news.” He emphasized that U.S. forces remain in a defensive posture and reiterated, “That has not changed. We will defend American interests.”
Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell also refuted claims aired by an Israeli media outlet, stating that reports of U.S. aircraft participating in the attacks on Iran were “not true.”
Amid escalating regional tensions, the White House announced that President Donald Trump will cut short his visit to the G7 summit in Canada and return to Washington earlier than scheduled.
Last Friday, Israeli forces launched airstrikes against Iran, targeting nuclear and military installations. The assault resulted in the deaths of several senior military leaders, scientists, and civilians.
In retaliation, Iran carried out a series of missile and drone strikes on targets within the Israeli-occupied territories. The exchange has heightened fears of a broader conflict that could destabilize the already fragile Middle East region.
