US Spokesman
ISLAMABAD: The United States State Department explained the US Ambassador Donald Blome’s meeting with Chief Election Commissioner in Islamabad.
Spokesperson David Miller affirmed its neutrality regarding any specific political party in Pakistan. He also highlighted the US stance of having no position on the outcome of election results.

In a press briefing, State Department Spokesperson said he lacked specific details about Ambassador Donald Blome’s meeting with the CEC in Islamabad. Nonetheless, he mentioned that the US embassy in Pakistan could provide the requested information willingly.
“But I think I understand the direction of your question, and I will reiterate what I have stated numerous times. The United States does not take any stance on the outcome of an election in Pakistan,” he responded to a query about the meeting.
He emphasized that the US neither endorses any political party nor supports any candidate in Pakistan. The US consistently advocates for “free and fair” elections worldwide.
Miller also addressed inquiries about the exchange rate, noting that the US supports economic reforms in Pakistan.
“I have discussed our support for reforms that can enhance Pakistan’s economy on several occasions and will continue to do so,” he remarked.
US Ambassador Donald Blome had met with the Chief Election Commissioner on August 24. Blome met him shortly before the Election Commission convened a crucial meeting regarding the upcoming general elections in the country.
